On Sunday the 23rd come celebrate an Old Fashioned Christmas with us in Phoenicia.
The Festivities begin after Church at noon on Sunday with the 2007 performance of the ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ presented by the Shandaken Theatrical Society with caroling, cookies and Santa in the historic Phoenicia Theater behind the gas station.
Then the party continues all afternoon at 70 Lower High St. across the creek and railroad in the Empire State Railway Museum housed in the historic old Phoenicia Railroad Station. There will be operating electric and live steam model railroads, cookies and cider, live music and Santa himself who will also be riding the RR Trains running all afternoon, compliments of the Catskill Mountain Railroad with more live music by the RR String Band. Trains depart the Phoenicia Station on the hour from 1:00 through 4:00.
Just 23 miles west of Kingston on Rt 28, take the first right turn after the Phoenicia Diner.
While it is all Free for the Children, adult donations are welcome to help defray our costs.
